Iโm always genuinely excited to see the painted examples people create from our models. Iโll be the first to admit that painting isnโt exactly my strongest skill, so seeing one of our plain grey resin prints transformed into a beautifully finished little locomotive, wagon or piece of machinery never gets old. I’ve Ed to thank for supplying these images of his Sentinel Chain loco! Wow! just Wow! Love it!
Thereโs something really special about watching a model go from an idea on a computer screen, through the printing and development process, to eventually appearing fully painted, weathered and working away on someoneโs layout. Everyone seems to put their own little stamp on them too โ different colours, liveries, weathering, tiny modifications and details that Iโd never have thought of myself.
Seeing that creativity is probably one of my favourite parts of Shoreleave Models. Knowing that something we designed and made has ended up becoming a small part of somebody elseโs railway genuinely gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
So please keep sending us photos. Whether itโs pristine, heavily weathered, converted, modified, motorised or sitting forgotten in the corner of an engine shed, I absolutely love seeing what youโve done with them.
